The idea of a cattery at Nutwood Cottage was originally conceived around 2007. We have always had a desire to provide modern accommodation for our guests, but with a tranquil relaxing outlook. In the future we will be exploring the possibility of new facilities such as personal web cameras for owners to see their pets in residence and web based booking forms Once we’d hit the ‘Go’ button, here’s how 2009 unfolded…. |

17th May 2009..Pen construction well under way.. a little more sunshine and less torrential rain/gales would help!. Fabulous combination of Standard, Family & Luxurious purpose built ‘Super’ corner units. |

7th Feb 2009..Concrete slab foundation construction in progress. |

8th March 2009..Cattery kitchen and office fitment nearing completion. Pens arriving 28th March. |

22nd June 2009..The weather has been considerably kinder over the last few weeks. As a result we have now completed landscaping and are finalising details on the remaining pens. The area finally looks much more like a cattery than a building site! We have bookings for July, August, September & October - it’s time to stock the shelves! |

23rd July 2009..All areas virtually complete. Final trims, hooks, catches etc. to fit. The grass seed has grown so well we have already mown it twice! |

1st August 2009..First Guests ‘Barnie & Maisie’ arrive. |

6th October 2009..Feline Advisory Bureau ‘FAB’ inspection. Accreditation awarded. Now listed at www.fabcats.org.uk |
